HOLD

The Sun Home Solstice 1-Person is a well-built, premium far infrared sauna designed for solo users. Eucalyptus hardwood construction, patented EMF shielding, Bluetooth speakers, and chromotherapy lighting — it has all the premium touches. But here's the problem: at $4,899, it's a far-infrared-only sauna priced in full-spectrum territory. You can get the Clearlight Sanctuary 2 (full spectrum, 2-person, lifetime warranty) for just $1,000 more. Or the JNH Joyous 2-Person (also far infrared) for $1,899 — less than half the price. The Solstice's build quality justifies a premium over budget brands, but not this much of a premium without full-spectrum capability. It's a HOLD — not because it's a bad product, but because the value equation doesn't work at this price point.

Premium eucalyptus hardwood build
$4,899 for far infrared only — overpriced
Compact footprint for small spaces
1-person only at near 2-person prices
Patented EMF/ELF shielding
20A outlet required despite single-person size
Magne-Seal tool-free assembly
No full spectrum at this price is hard to justify

The Value Problem

We want to be clear: the Sun Home Solstice 1-Person is a well-engineered, attractively designed sauna. The eucalyptus hardwood, tool-free Magne-Seal assembly, and patented EMF shielding are all genuine quality indicators. If this sauna were priced at $2,500-$3,000, it would be an easy recommendation.

But at $4,899, you're paying premium-tier money for a single-person, far-infrared-only sauna. For $1,000 more ($5,895), the Clearlight Sanctuary 2 gives you full spectrum infrared (near + mid + far), seats two people, has a limited lifetime warranty, and comes with a glass roof skylight. For $3,000 less ($1,899), the JNH Joyous gives you the same far-infrared capability in a 2-person format with a standard 15A outlet.

Who This Actually Makes Sense For

There is a narrow use case where the Solstice 1-Person is the right choice: if you have very limited space (it fits in roughly a 3' × 3' footprint), you want premium build quality with certified low EMF, and you genuinely only need a solo sauna. Apartment dwellers in small urban spaces who insist on a cabin (not a blanket) and want the best possible build quality in the smallest footprint — that's the Solstice buyer.

For everyone else, your money goes further elsewhere in our lineup.

Our Recommendation

If you want solo use at a reasonable price, consider the JNH Joyous 2-Person ($1,899) — use the extra seat as legroom. If you want premium quality and can accommodate a slightly larger footprint, the Clearlight Sanctuary 2 ($5,895) gives you full spectrum for just $1,000 more. If space is truly the constraint, the HigherDOSE Sauna Blanket ($699) takes up zero permanent space.
